Project AWARE Launches Dive Against Debris app

We’re pleased to announce the launch of GGGI member Project AWARE’s new Dive Against Debris® app. It is now available to download for free direct from Google Play or  iTunes.

The app includes a list of common debris items and uses geo-location for quick and easy reporting. The data reported becomes part of a global dataset used by conservationists and scientists to help drive long-term change. You can read more about the App and its features/benefits here: https://www.projectaware.org/news/use-your-phone-take-action-clean-oceanWith the Dive Against Debris app, divers are empowered to bring to the surface what’s going on beneath the waves - yielding data regarding the quantities and types of rubbish found underwater as well as recording the impacts of marine debris on wildlife. Debris-free sites are also reported.
